AMORE CREW

AMORE is home to a crew with an exceptional reputation. With a combined 100+ years of yachting experience, the crew on AMORE is on a mission to create extraordinary experiences for all guests onboard.

CAPTAIN

Scott

Scott was born in Sydney but grew up on the West Coast in Perth, Western Australia. Drawn to luxury yachting from an early age, Scott used to ogle at brand luxury mega yachts built by Oceanfast docked beside the local fish and chip shop in Fremantle, the once temporary home of the Americas Cup.

Scott learned to sail on the river and volunteered with the local sea rescue group. This experience made it easy for him to step into four years of nighttime and weekend work with the local ferry company while he completed a degree in project management. His first project management job saw him working 400 miles inland on the construction of a nickel mine.

Completely unimpressed by the remoteness from the ocean, on his return he packed everything and headed to France to seek work aboard a luxury yacht. In no time he secured a deckhand role on a yacht in 1999 that ironically was refitted in Australia. On his thirtieth birthday, Scott was docking a 60-meter Feadship at the Monaco Yacht Show as captain.

During his time in luxury yachting, Scott has traveled the Panama, Kiel, and Suez Canals, the Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic oceans, Scandinavia, the Mediterranean, Croatia, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Fiji, Indonesia, the Maldives, and more. Scott is recognized as a subject matter expert in Oracle’s Primavera P6 Project Planning software, having spent equal time yachting on multibillion-dollar mining, IT, and transport projects. He is passionate about yacht design and making the world a better place for future generations.
